SUMMARY:WORKSHOP: To the Manor Born
DESCRIPTION:MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW | DATE MAY CHANGE  | NO TICKETS YET\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA burned down mansion house just on the fringes of the forest. It’s dark and derelict but being gradually restored to its former glory. Upstairs\, Downstairs – we will have the place to ourselves so we can explore the grand rooms and the damp cellars. Our model will take us on a little time travel adventure\, and we will capture her timeless beauty like a character from an Agatha Christie mystery. \n\n\n\nWHO IS IT FOR:\n\n\n\nAnyone who would love to get a more cinematic and dramatic feel while creating environmental portraits. For this one we will be using studio strobes with octaboxes\, learning to balance them with the ambient light that’s already there. It is best to know how to use your camera in M (manual) mode and understand exposure – the relationship between shutter speed\, aperture and ISO\, but it’s not essential as this knowledge develops over time. Grete will be on hand for tips and suggestions\, some technical\, some artistic. After all\, if a photo doesn’t make you feel something\, then all the technique in the world can’t make up for it. \n\n\n\nWHAT TO BRING:\n\n\n\nCamera\, and a variety of lenses\, especially those with a big aperture that can handle a bit of low light. Kit lens is also ok\, we work with what we’ve got. We will provide studio strobes and maybe even some smoke for outside shots.Feel free to bring your own soft filters like Pro Mist or Cinebloom etc\, but we also have them on hand for you to try. \n\n\n\nWHERE:\n\n\n\nCopped Hall\, Epping.
