SUMMARY:WORKSHOP: Pier Pressure
DESCRIPTION:MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW | DATE MAY CHANGE  | NO TICKETS YET\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“The Pier is Southend\, Southend is the Pier” (Sir John Betjeman\, English poet and broadcaster). We will be zooming in on the pier’s mesmerizing Adventure Island fun park. The dizzy rides and dazzling lights will form our backdrop. Our model will be a true local Southend girl\, adding yet more cultural colour to our scene.For this one we will be trying to make the most of the lights and movements of the rides while using handheld or on-camera flash for a pop of light on our model. Our scenes and camera angles will be a bit edgy\, a bit cheeky\, a bit Essex in every possible way. \n\n\n\nWHO IS IT FOR:\n\n\n\nAnyone who would love to get a more cinematic and dramatic feel while creating environmental portraits. It is best to know how to use your camera in M (manual) mode and understand exposure – the relationship between shutter speed\, aperture and ISO\, but it’s not essential as this knowledge develops over time. Grete will be on hand for tips and suggestions\, some technical\, some artistic. After all\, if a photo doesn’t make you feel something\, then all the technique in the world can’t make up for it. \n\n\n\nWHAT TO BRING:\n\n\n\nCamera\, and a variety of lenses\, especially those with a big aperture that can handle a bit of low light. Kit lens is also ok\, we work with what we’ve got. We will provide some lighting too and maybe even some smoke if the venue allows it!Feel free to bring your own soft filters like Pro Mist or Cinebloom etc\, but we also have them on hand for you to try. \n\n\n\nWHERE:\n\n\n\nSouthend PierSouthend-on-Sea\, Essex \n\n\n\nTICKETS:\n\n\n\n£95.
